The Northcot Lyneham Red Handmade brick was chosen for this stunning Georgian style property. A pronounced corbelling detail and brick arches above the windows further enhance the detailing on the brickwork.

The aim with this 550 square metre house was to create a high-specification, low-energy family home combining individuality with strong local references. Approximately 50,000 bricks were used in the house and garage block, with an additional 15,000 for the garden walls. Integral to this design is the Stratford Mellow Handmade 65mm brick from Northcot. Bespoke moulds were also crafted for a variety of specials, including plinths, bullnose, cants and parapets, while bespoke brick arches were also cut on site.

This modern and contemporary project utilises the Nortchot Stratford Antique Handmade brick to effortlessly blend the property with the existing surroundings. Northcot's antiquing process enables the creation of weathered looking bricks for new builds, or to match existing established older brickwork.

With this project the client wanted a new build that would capture the essence of the existing buildings in the village hamlet. A bespoke blend of four different types of handmade bricks were mixed equally into each pack supplied, ensuring consistency during construction and ultimately creating a property with its own unique character.
